Science

GRADE SCHOOL

The Science program of the Grade School provides pupils with meaningful and functional experiences and activities in the three major content areas: biological, physical, and earth sciences. Its content reflects the major concerns of society at this time, such as the need for environmental conservation and preservation, peaceful co-existence between man and nature, and the optimum use of resources.

Furthermore, the structure of the program is designed to cultivate scientific skills and attitudes and to inculcate in pupils’ minds the school’s vision, mission, and thrust. Throughout each grade level, content and activities are interwoven with values to ensure the development of a productive and socially responsible Christian leader, who has a strong sense of national identity and pride in his/her Augustinian heritage.

HIGH SCHOOL

The Science Program seeks to develop and strengthen in the student an appreciation of the universe as created by God, to provide them with scientific knowledge necessary to understand the environment and their responsibility towards it, to inculcate in them the scientific way of thinking, of solving problems, and of making decisions, and to lead them to recognize the social implications of science and technology in the community.
