GRADE SCHOOL

Social Studies, called Araling Panlipunan in the Grade School, includes learning areas such as civics and culture, history, and geography. The course deals with the study of the relationship of the child to society, to government, and to environment and his/her roles, duties and responsibilities, rights and privileges as citizen of his/her country and of the world.

The area deals with the development of moral and spiritual values inspired by the Augustinian way of education, pride in one’s cultural heritage, proper nutrition, desirable health habits, creative self-expression, and awareness of the world of work in the home and in the community. It also focuses on the development of moral and spiritual values inspired by the Augustinian way of education and pride in one’s cultural heritage.

To meet the needs of the increasing number of multi-cultural students, the Social Studies area offers a special program for them, which considers the diverse origins, the varying patterns of migration, and the cultural and linguistic differences of the students.

HIGH SCHOOL

The Social Studies Program provides students with opportunities for the acquisition of skills and knowledge, which will increase their awareness of their identity as Filipinos and as members of the global community. It strives to expose the students to the problems of society and encourages them to be involved in the solution thereof. Also, the program promotes social justice by seeking the cooperation and wholesome interaction of students with others as they concretize plans and projects in the spirit of fair play.
