 PRESCHOOL ADVOCACIES


Christian Formation
The Preschool Department has regular activities to help pupils develop a love for God and prayer, and to practice how to behave properly in Church, among them: daily rosary prayers in October, Advent prayers,Chapel Activity/prayer service during important Church feasts, and the celebration of Feast Days by level.

Each level holds a Feast Day (Outreach and Agape) for their chosen spiritual patrons on the following months:
September St. Nicholas of Tolentine Kindergarten
October Solemnity of the Guardian Angels Nursery
January Solemnity of the Sto. Niño Preparatory


Community Extension Service/Outreach
Preschoolers are made aware of the plight of their less fortunate brothers and are encouraged to help them. Pupils bring love offerings in cash or in kind, which are gathered and given to selected level beneficiaries, such as those in Baseco and the Gawad Kalinga Sibol Schools. Preschoolers are also enjoined to participate in the Mission Week Drive and in the Christmas Fund Drive for children. All these activities are intended to awaken social awareness among Augustinian preschoolers.

 
The Preschool Department has also started a tradition to support the children of the Baseco Day care Learning Center every Christmas season. This year, the outreach was entitle “Yapak tungo kay Kristo” where the teachers, parents and children gave out slippers to the children of Baseco compound.
