In true Filipino hospitality and Augustinian spirit, Colegio San Agustin Makati warmly welcomed The Most Reverend Fr. Joseph Lawrence Farrell, OSA, Prior General of the Order of St. Augustine, and The Reverend Fr. Fredrick Comendador, OSA, Assistant General of the Order of St. Augustine, during their visit to our campus this morning.
Fr. Farrell and Fr. Comendador are in the Philippines for the 2nd Ordinary Provincial Chapter of the Augustinian Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus of the Philippines. They were accompanied by Fr. Dante M. Bendoy, OSA, recently installed for his second term as Prior Provincial, together with Fr. Julian C. Mazana, OSA (CSA Vice Rector), Fr. Juanito Caspe, OSA (CSA Chaplain), Fr. Kim Tabagon, OSA, and Fr. Francis Balmaceda, OSA.
The visit began with a heartfelt welcome from our administrators, faculty, staff, and student representatives from the Grade School and High School Departments. Throughout the campus tour, our guests were greeted with joyful smiles and enthusiastic cheers from the CSA community.
Fr. Farrell delighted everyone with his warmth and youthful spirit—playing music in the ASEP Department, joining a game of hopscotch at the covered courts, and pausing at the CSA Chapel for a quiet moment of prayer. Before heading to the tennis courts, he was presented with a thoughtfully prepared gift bag of Filipino delicacies and even proudly donned a complete CSA P.E. uniform, happily posing for photos with students along the way.
The morning concluded on a lively note as Fr. Farrell and Fr. Comendador enjoyed a friendly game of tennis, with Fr. Farrell playfully channeling his “inner Alex Eala.”
