The opening program began with each grade level presenting their Batch ID, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the torch symbolizing the official beginning of the season.
When asked about the role of the batch ID in the opening of intramurals in establishing batch identity, Tala Valdez, Grade 9 batch council president, emphasized creating meaning and intentionality with creating the performance.
“I believe that the batch ID sets the tone and serves as the foundation for the ultimate identity of the batch, both through the message we hope to express and who we strive to become,” she stated.
The event proceeded as each batch participated in three sports matches in volleyball (mixed) and basketball (boys) throughout the day.
The opening program concluded with the final games per batch.
