AGAPAY (Agustino para sa Kapayapaan) in Action: Reaching Out Beyond Walls
In line with the celebration of Social Studies Month 2025 with the theme “Empowering Young Augustinians through AGAPAY: Advocates of Peace, Learners of the World,” the High School Augustinian community, together with the Social Studies Area through its Community Extension Program, visited Makati City Jail to deliver personal hygiene materials such as toothpaste, soap, detergent, and shampoo.
This meaningful outreach coincides with Prison Awareness Month in the Philippines, as well as National Correctional Consciousness Week, which both aim to promote compassion, rehabilitation, and respect for the dignity of persons deprived of liberty. The Catholic Church also observes Prison Awareness Sunday every last Sunday of October, reminding the faithful to extend understanding, kindness, and hope to our brothers and sisters in incarceration.
Through this initiative, our young Augustinians put AGAPAY into action, embracing peace, service, and solidarity as true Learners of the World.
