PINGKIAN 2026: The Augustinian Research Conference, spearheaded by the Research Team of General Academic Strand (GAS) of the Senior High School Area, brought together students in a meaningful journey of inquiry and discovery under the theme “Igniting Minds, Transforming Communities: Advancing Ethical and Responsive Research in a Changing World.”
The conference unfolded through three phases designed to guide students through the research process. In the Topic Ideation Phase, faculty members shared their expertise in developing relevant research ideas for each strand: Mr. Justin Nikko Lazo for ABM, Ms. Junissa Mabanag and Mr. Aries Marmol for HUMSS and GAS, Mr. Mark Louie Silvestre for STEM, and Mr. Russen Reyes for Literature Review and APA Citation.
The second phase deepened students’ understanding of research methods through a session by Mr. John Christian “Jaycee” Espinola of Lyceum of the Philippines University, who delivered a talk on Quantitative Data Analysis and Research Ethics.
The conference culminated in the Research Presentation Phase, where students showcased their work through research poster exhibits and the dynamic “Thesis-It-In-3 Minutes!” oral presentations. Outstanding student outputs were recognized through awards such as Best Research Poster and Best Oral Presentation, celebrating their dedication to responsible, meaningful research.
PINGKIAN 2026 once again affirmed the Augustinian commitment to the pursuit of truth and the use of knowledge in the service of the community.
