1. Core Mission & Foundations Dual Alignment: The policy bridges the values of both the International Baccalaureate (IB) (intercultural understanding, active lifelong learning) and Colegio San Agustin (Catholic Augustinian values of Truth, Unity, and Charity).
Student Target: It aims to form future-ready Augustinian servant leaders who embody the 10 IB Learner Profile attributes (Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-minded, Caring, Risk-takers, Balanced, and Reflective).
2. Key Admission Principles & CriteriaHolistic Evaluation: Admission is not based on a single score. CSA evaluates candidates holistically, looking at academic readiness, moral character, personal motivation, and learner dispositions.
Inclusion & Accommodations: As an inclusive Catholic school, CSA welcomes students with diverse learning profiles and multilingual backgrounds, offering reasonable learning and language-support accommodations where feasible.
3. The 5-Step Admission ProcessEndorsement: The standard CSA Makati applicant is endorsed to the IB Office. Diagnostic Test & Essay: Candidates complete diagnostic tests and write a 500-word personal statement/essay on their motivation.
Panel Interview: Successful candidates and their parents attend an interview with the IB Coordinator, counselor, and teachers. Status Notice: Applicants are notified of their status (Accepted, Conditional Acceptance, or Not Accepted). Enrollment: Accepted candidates sign commitment contracts and submit a reservation fee to lock in their slot.
4. Important Conditions & ShiftingShifting Track: Students wishing to transfer back to the national curriculum must do so no later than one month before the end of Grade 11, Semester 1 (without credit transfer). Tuition Refund Policy: Refunds are only granted if withdrawal occurs before the first semester ends. Withdrawing after the first semester requires full payment for the entire school year.
