WHAT WE OFFER
The School is following the K to 12 program and accepts Nursery to Senior High School applicants.

The school accepts local and international students. One of the best academic features of the school is its special program for foreign students such as the English for Speakers if other languages (ESOL) and the Filipino for the Non-speakers of the language (FINOL). The two help multicultural students cope with language barriers as they continue to assimilate the school life, culture, and practices.

GOALS

Colegio San Agustin, aims to achieve the following goals towards the fulfillment of its mission:

1. As a Catholic School, it is committed to building up a Christian community by providing an atmosphere conducive to the fulfillment of Catholic ideals, through living witnessing of Christ, religious instruction, sacramental participation and related activities, without prejudice to pupils of other religious affiliations.

2. As a Filipino school, it is committed to inculcate love of country and pride in the national culture and traditions, fostering awareness of Filipino identity and civic and social responsibility for national development, while promoting international understanding and interaction with other racial and cultural groups.

3. As an Augustinian school, it is committed to a meaningful relationship among the different sectors of the school community through genuine friendship and mutual respect in line with the Augustinian theme, “to live in harmony, having but one mind and one heart intent upon God.”

PROOF OF EXCELLENCE

Foremost among CSA Makati’s achievements have been the recognition from the Department of Education of its course since July 1972 and the accreditation of basic education programs. On January 31, 2009, the Federation of Accrediting Association of the Philippines (FAAP) granted the CSA Grade School Department Level III Re-accredited Status. Likewise, the High School Department had been granted by the Philippine Accrediting Associations of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) a five-year re-accredited status valid until 2019.

In 2011, CSA Makati was hailed in the ABS-CBN Bayan Academy Excellence in Educational Transformation Awards in two areas: Innovation in Learning Places and Spaces for Learning effectiveness and Excellence in Curriculum Design.

Pupils and students have excelled in international math and science competitions held in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. In recognition of the Augustinians’ stellar and consistent performance in these international competitions, the Department of Science and Technology bestows on them the yearly Youth Excellence in Science Award. Likewise, a number of pupils and students also received high distinction in the annual International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) in the areas of Math, Science and English.

The grade school publications, Ang Alab and the Augustinian Mirror, have been adjudged Best School Papers in the Philippines in Filipino and English respectively. Both publications have already produced two Outstanding Campus Journalists in the Philippines, one Outstanding School Paper Adviser in the Philippines, and at least eight outstanding young writers in the region. Meanwhile, the high school publications, Insights and Ang Salik, have also garnered recognitions in the division, regional and national levels.

Augustinian athletes also made records in division, regional and national sports tournaments in the areas of gold, tennis, volleyball, swimming, taekwondo and badminton. Augustinians have also been featured as world-class performers in international talent competitions such as Asia’s Got Talent, Skechers Streetdance Battle, World of Dance US, etc.

The effectiveness of CSA’s curricular and co-curricular programs may be gleaned from the outstanding performance of its students in various competitions at the regional, national and international levels. The Augustinians have also occupied positions of leadership in both inter-school and national organizations and have gained entry to the most reputable colleges and universities here and abroad. A good number of alumni have assumed remarkable positions in broadcast media, business, education, government, music, theater and other professional fields.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

English is the medium instruction of Colegio San Agustin for all subjects, except for Filipino and for Araling Panlipunan. For non-English speakers, however, the school offers English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) and the English pull-out programs which aim to aid students in facilitating the communication process.

MULTI-CULTURAL CLASS

To address the needs of foreign students, as well as to enable them to better assimilate themselves in the school environment, Colegio San Agustin offers classes for multi-cultural students.

SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Aside from its regular academic programs, Colegio San Agustin offers the following:

  • special classes in English and in Filipino to non-speakers of these languages
  • enrichment programs in mathematics, science, campus journalism and art for students with extraordinary aptitude and interest in these subjects
  • a learning assistance program that addresses the needs of students who have difficulties in core subjects
  • electives in 4th year HS: Advanced Biology, Business Management/Accounting/Computer Education, Food Technology, Journalism, Spanish Language and Visual Arts to equip them with necessary skills and attitude needed for tertiary education
  • the Arts and Sports Enrichment Program (ASEP) in recognition of the students’ inclination towards music and the arts, and their propensity for physical activities
  • Special Interest Individually Guided Education (SIIGE) program, taken during the Music/PE period
  • Professional Training for the Gifted Student (PTGS) program, taken after class hours

SERVICES

  • HEALTH SERVICES – The school clinic is open from 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am to 12:00nn on Saturdays. It is well-equipped and has more than adequate medical supplies. Licensed professional staff; two physicians, two dentists, two nurses, two medical aids and one dental aide attend to the health needs of the students.
  • GUIDANCE SERVICES – The center provides comprehensive guidance program service which includes counselling, testing, information, individual inventory, placement, follow-up and research and evaluation. It is open from 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday
  • FOOD SERVICES – The cafetorium, with 29 food stalls offers variety of food at reasonable prices. It can accomodate 2000 students at any given time
  • LIBRARY SERVICES – The school maintains one air-conditioned library in each department. All libraries are open from 7:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. The three libraries exude welcoming atmosphere have rich and updated collections and are aesthetically decorated and offers a welcoming environment to the students. Its collection consists of up-to-date and relevant books, serials, print and multimedia resources which support educational as well as the recreational needs of the Augustinian community
