Since the pandemic started, swim training for the CSA Varsity Swim Team (VST) was erratic at best, because of lockdowns and restrictions in travelling. There was no competition to look forward to until the Philippine Swimming, Inc. organized the Swimming National Selection Bubble Meet (SNS), held at the New Clark City Aquatics Center, in Tarlac, from October 22-24, 2021. The meet is for swimmers aiming to qualify and make it to the National Team for the next Southeast Asian Games next year.
Despite the training challenges they faced, three members of the CSA VST, along with 71 other swimmers from various teams, participated in this first major national swimming competition since January 2020.
Joshua Gabriel Ang (12-C) – 50m Freestyle (SILVER), 50m Butterfly, 100m Freestyle, 100m Butterfly (SILVER)
Grace Marianne Ang (10-B) – 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m Freestyle
Ayqana Ladip (10-C) – 50m, 100m, 200m Breaststroke
Congratulations CSA VST swimmers! Soar high, Agustinians!
